The Carr Center Summer Dance Intensive Returns Summer 2025

The Summer Dance Intensive provides a unique experience for metro-Detroit’s young dancers to be taught and mentored by world-class professional dancers and master instructors.  For 2 weeks (6 days per week) students engage in full-day (9a.m. – 5 p.m.) classes including ballet, modern, tap, hip-hop and African (Dunham) dance. The Intensive culminates with a public Finale Showcase performance. Students are chosen by audition.  

Ancillary programs throughout the year include weekend mini-intensives, master classes, and Dance Day, a collaboration between the Carr Center and the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre and Dance.
