The Carr Center presents: "Beats, Rhythm, and Tap Shoes: Tribute to J Dilla and A Tribe Called Quest"

Brinae Ali’s Destination Forever Project presents Beats, Rhythm, and Tap Shoes, celebrating the genius of Detroit’s own J Dilla and A Tribe Called Quest. The project is co-created with tap dancer/choreographer Maurice Chestnut, musician/producer Wendel Patrick and musical director/percussionist Jerome Jennings. The performance will feature special guests Geri Allen, poet/emcee Natasha Thomas Jackson, and the Tapology Youth Tap Ensemble and more.
