Literary tribute to the Carr for its support of Detroit’s own Aquarius Press, producer of many of the nation’s top writers. Detroit kickoff for Remembrance by press founder H. Buchanan. Live performance by The Remembrance Project, wsg Taslimah Bey, famed ragtime pianist. Original music by Tracy Kash, Best Jazz Vocalist, Detroit Music Awards. Staged readings and dance performance directed by Grammy nominee Arthur Ray. Wine reception. Booksigning to follow. Flapper attire optional.
